“You are a boy, not a man” — Ayo Labinjoh slams Davido over denial of her daughter’s paternity

Ayo Labinjoh, the woman who claims that her teenage daughter, Anu Adeleke, was fathered by Nigerian music star Davido, has renewed her public criticism of the singer, making fresh allegations and responding to claims that she is seeking attention or financial gain.

In a lengthy social media post, Ayo dismissed suggestions that she is trying to force Davido into accepting the child because of his wealth or fame. According to her, Davido was neither wealthy nor globally famous at the time they met.

She stated that they met in February 2013 at a Dami Duro concert afterparty in Ibadan, describing him then as a fast-rising artiste and the son of a businessman, not the international star he later became.

Ayo further claimed that Davido is aware of their relationship and alleged that he sent her money on the day of her daughter’s naming ceremony in November 2013. She questioned why this detail had never been mentioned publicly by the singer.

Reacting to Davido’s statement that he conducted five DNA tests which all returned negative results, Ayo disputed this claim. She alleged that the five tests referenced were actually related to Davido’s other children from different women and not independent tests involving her daughter.

She went on to list dates she claims correspond to DNA tests involving Davido’s other children, insisting that the September 2014 test involving Anu was “fake”.

Ayo also criticised media personality Daddy Freeze, accusing him of defending Davido without pushing for an independent DNA test. She expressed disappointment that other public figures close to the Adeleke family had chosen not to intervene in the matter.

In an emotional conclusion, Ayo accused Davido of abandoning his alleged first child and claimed he recently attempted to contact her via a video call in November 2025, around the time of his #5Alive concert in Ibadan.

“You are a boy, not a man. You are a dad, not a father,” she wrote.

Davido has not responded to the latest claims as of the time of this report.
